Meet Jim
Meet Jim! The owner of Yolked Extreme Breakfast. He has 40+ years of experience in the restaurant industry. From full service restaurants to Chinese take outs. Jim started when he was only 10 years old working with his parents. And he’s brought a fun and exciting family restaurant to Morgan Hill!
A Little History
In 1972, after immigrating from Greece, Jim’s parents Bill and Barbara Angelopoulos opened their first restaurant in San Martin, California called the Square Meal Cafe. Here’s a photo of the original cafe.
In 1979, his parents opened The Oak Tree Restaurant in the Almaden Valley area of San Jose, California. For the next 25 years, they operated the business with Jim and his two siblings. Eventually, the lease expired and the property was bulldozed to make way for a new development. At that time, Jim decided to carry on the family legacy. He opened the Scrambl’z Diner in Morgan Hill, California. After his father passed away, the original Scrambl’z was sold and on January 20, 2009 the San Jose Scrambl’z was officially opened on Almaden – a mere half mile from where my parents started it all.
And now we’ve come full circle. Jim has moved back into the original Scrambl’z location and brings you YOLKED – extreme breakfast a family breakfast restaurant in Morgan Hill, Ca. Welcome to a new era!
